How are calories calculated?

BMR uses Mifflin–St Jeor, multiplied by an activity factor to get TDEE; then a goal % offset is applied.

How are macros decided?

You set daily carbs and protein target; remaining calories go to fat. 1 g carbs = 4 kcal, 1 g protein = 4 kcal, 1 g fat = 9 kcal.

Protein per kg or lean mass?

If body fat % is known, lean-mass targeting is more precise; otherwise per-kg body weight is fine for most users.
